What is it?
In-home, basic good manners for puppies ages 3-6 months
According to the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, it’s best to start socializing and training your puppy as soon as he comes to your home. (Hopefully it happens even before he gets there!)
Studies show that the critical period of socialization is between 3 weeks and 17 weeks old. If done correctly, your pup will develop the skills needed to ensure he is happy, healthy, and confident.
Our Puppy Primer helps your puppy become self-assured and well-adjusted. It also helps you to understand the many things you can do to get him off on the right paw. We discuss Potty Training, Inappropriate Chewing, Nipping, Crate Training, Handling and more. Your puppy will be exposed to novel stimuli, including sights, smells, sounds and surfaces. We ensure that every experience is a positive one.
Our techniques are purely positive. We don’t advocate a human/dog relationship based on fear and/or coercion, and do not support or use choke collars, prong collars, shock collars or any aversive techniques that may damage your dogs trust in you or in humankind.
